The Adoption Process & Information
Before We Get Started
- First and foremost, this is not a business. We are a family that wants to share their joy, love, and passion for dogs with you.
- Our puppies are not objects, they are our babies.
- A puppy is not a gift, a fleeting want, or a spur of the moment decision. It is a lifelong commitment to a living being that is totally dependent on you.
- You, the adult, are responsible for this puppy, not your kids.
- Talking to you on the phone is a mandatory requirement for purchasing one of our puppies. That does not mean texting, it means that an actual real live conversation needs to take place at least once.
- ALL deposits and payments are NON-REFUNDABLE, but they are transferable to a different puppy or litter. By placing a deposit you are agreeing with, and understand, these terms.
- We reserve the right to refuse our puppies to anyone, at anytime, and for any reason. If we chose to refuse you a puppy any deposit will be refunded.
- Our puppies or dogs are NEVER EVER to be relinquished or surrendered to a shelter or rescue for any reason! If you can not keep or do not want your dog or puppy for any reason, we will take them back. As a responsible breeder, we are responsible for every puppy we bring into this world and we will not have any of ours in a shelter or rescue. If you need help finding your dog a new home, we will help you do that, or we will always take them back until we can find them another home.

What You Get With Your Puppy
With every puppy comes with the following things:
- A happy healthy puppy who has had the very best start in life.
- Shot record with all shots and wormings appropriate to the age of your puppy.
- A friendly social puppy who is ready to love you and your family.
- A lifetime of support for you and your puppy with the ability to take advantage of all our experience and knowledge.
- A 48 hour satisfaction guarantee.
- A 1 year congenital health guarantee.
- American Kennel Club registration papers.
- 20% off any training class that is taught by us.
- If you are unsatisfied with your puppy for any reason you have 48 hours from the time you take it home to return it, at your expense, and the puppy must be in the same condition as when it left. Your payment would then be transferred to a different puppy or litter of your choice. (for example; If you brought home your puppy and then your 4 year old dropped it and broke it's leg, that would not be the same condition as when you first brought it home.)
- When you purchase a puppy from us, the puppy is yours. we do not require co-ownerships. You are receiving FULL AKC papers with full rights, unless otherwise stated.
- If you do not plan to show your dog in the future, we strongly encourage you to have them spayed or neutered when they are about 8 months of age. Breeding is a lot of work to do it right, and if it is something you are considering please research it fully, talk to your vet, and have a good reputable breeder as a mentor.
The TN Puppies Difference
Here at TN Puppies we take great pride in the way we raise our puppies, and you have the added benefit of having a puppy come from trained professionals with tons of experience and expertise. We do this because we love it, not because we want to make a living at it. Our puppies are handled, loved, and exposed to all kinds of things at just the right time to promote optimal development.
All puppies are family raised here on our farm. They are handled and loved on by both adults and kids from the moment they are born. Their special stimulation begins when they are only 3 days old. This is called Bio-Sensor program or the Super Dog program and was developed by the U.S. Military to improve their military dogs. As they grow the puppies experience all sorts of wonderful sights, sounds, smells, and textures. They are exposed to both indoor and outdoor stimulation before they go home.

Indoors we start with warm towels at birth and soft blankets and plush toys to snuggle with. A radio is always playing music complete with talking and commercials to start their exposure to different sounds and voices. Once they are old enough to play squeaker toys are introduced. Appliances are often startling or scary for puppies. We expose them to appliances that can be noisy like the dishwasher, dryer, ice dispenser, TV, garbage disposal, and even the dreaded vacuum cleaner. This is not to say that the puppies are completely accustomed to these noises, but at least they won't be so scared when they hear them at your home. The puppies get to feel what it is like to be part of the hustle and bustle of daily family living. Absolutely all puppies come pre-spoiled by us and our children, plus all of our friends, family, and our children's friends as well.
They begin to go outside and are immediately started on house breaking as soon as they are big enough and the weather is nice. They begin their outdoor experience with mom for added confidence and then continue on their own once they are weaned. All puppies are given the opportunity to walk on different surfaces such as carpet, tile, grass, dirt, stone, and sometimes snow for textural experience. Puppy play places have colorful wind spinning decorations or kites to expose the puppies to something foreign over their heads. When old enough our pups take a walking, (sometimes romping), tour through our barn where they are safely exposed to chickens, horses, and other livestock. We show them trees, plants, flowers, and other dogs of different breeds and sizes. We even have an aviary full of ducks and geese. They get to hear the cars and tractor start up and run, horses neigh, chickens crow, ducks quack, and so much more. All of these things and more are involved in their indoor and outdoor experiences in order to develop the most well rounded puppy possible. All puppies receive worming medication every 2 weeks and all shots appropriate for their age. Our goal is to give everyone of our puppies the very best start in life that they could possibly have.
So Now What Happens...
Congratulations on placing your deposit!! Now you may be wondering what happens next...
Unfortunately now the hard part begins, the wait. Depending on how old your puppy is when the deposit is placed will determine just how long this wait is. All puppies can go home at 8 weeks of age. If your puppy is not yet born, we will send you a birth announcement the day that the puppies arrive. Once puppies are here we send photo updates every 2 weeks so you can watch your puppy grow. By the time your puppy is 6 weeks old we will need to make pick up or transport arrangements. When your puppy is ready to go, you get your puppy and pay the balance that is owed via credit card or cash. We do not accept checks! If you are having you puppy transported to you the balance must be paid 1 week prior to your puppy leaving our farm.
If you are unable to pick up your puppy, we can arrange for your puppy to be delivered to you by our USDA certified transport company. We have used the same company for the last 6 years and absolutely love them. They will drive the puppy right to your door step. They charge by the mile with a $200 minimum. For a transport quote just ask us and tell us your zip code. That's it you are ready to welcome home your new family member.
