What makes our dogs special...
Our dogs are members of our family. They bring great joy to our lives. We strive to make sure that they are the picture of health and happiness. Most of our dogs are certified therapy dogs, and some are actual service dogs. Some of our dogs are also titled show dogs that show off their beauty and conformation. Our dogs are selected by us to be the total package: temperament, health, beauty, brains, conformation, and quality. We want to pass this along on a genetic level to all our pups. You always have to start building with a great solid foundation. One of the most important attributes our dogs all have is an exceptional loving, caring, and patient temperament that comes through in their offspring. We would not breed, or even own a dog, that had a bad temperament. We actually like to certify that our dogs have superb temperaments through the American Temperament Test Society, where dogs can earn a TT title for demonstrating proper temperament when subjected to various situations. However, trials are not offered very often so we do title our dogs as we can. All of our dogs are 120% kid friendly. They learn an extra level of patience, care, and trust being raised around our children. There isn't one dog here that I don't trust around my children, and there never will be. I'm not saying that all dogs need to be good with kids, but it is a requirement for ours. We raise family dogs here, as well as dogs for individuals with special needs, and they are raised using our family, including our own son with special needs. Our dogs work with handicapped adults and children on a daily basis. We often have the dogs invited visit hospitals, schools, nursing homes, assisted care facilities, and both different types of therapy sessions. That is the kind of loving, caring, and patient temperament that our dogs have, and that is what they pass on to their puppies.
